What you will learn

Every course at reportkix is built around the skills that matter most in a working control room.

Multi-Camera Switching

Build the confidence to cut cleanly between multiple camera sources on a vision mixer under live pressure.

Live Broadcasting Techniques

Learn the planning, communication and timing techniques that keep a live broadcast running smoothly from open to close.

Real-Time Video Operation

Operate cameras, graphics and routing in real time, reacting quickly to changes on set and in the control room.

Trained for the real pressure of a live gallery

reportkix was founded to close the gap between broadcast theory and the fast-moving reality of a working control room. Our instructors have cut live sport, news and entertainment programmes, and they bring that experience directly into every session.

  • Train on industry-standard vision mixers and routing equipment
  • Small cohorts led by working technical directors and producers
  • Hands-on control room sessions, not just lecture-style teaching

Frequently Asked Questions

Can't find the answer you're looking for? Reach out on our contacts page.

Do I need previous broadcast experience to join?

No. Our Foundation course assumes no prior experience and starts with the basics of a live control room before moving into switching and operation.

What equipment will I train on?

You will work on industry-standard vision mixers, camera chains and routing systems, the same type of equipment used in professional studios and outside broadcast trucks.

How large are the course groups?

We keep cohorts small so every learner gets real time at the switcher and in the control room, rather than watching from the back of a large class.

Can reportkix train my studio team on site?

Yes. Our Studio Partnership option brings instructors to your facility to train on your own equipment and workflow. Get in touch for a tailored quote.

Are the courses full time or part time?

Both. Courses can run as intensive full-time blocks or as part-time evening and weekend sessions, depending on the programme.

How do I enrol on a course?

Head to our Services page to review the available programmes, then use the Contacts page to send us your details and we will follow up with next steps.
