Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

Scope of the Policy and the Products or Services It Covers

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all bookings and purchases made through reportkix for specialised training courses focused on live production decks and control rooms. These include instruction in multi-camera switching, live broadcasting techniques, real-time video operation, and professional management of television and streaming productions. The policy covers both in-person and digital delivery formats offered to customers located in the United Kingdom. It governs the financial aspects of enrolment, payment processing, cancellations, and refunds for these educational services only.

Prices, Currencies, Taxes, and Any Additional Charges

All listed course fees are quoted in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Prices include applicable Value Added Tax (VAT) at the current UK rate unless otherwise stated on the booking page. Additional charges may apply for optional extras such as extended access to course materials, certification fees, or rescheduling requests made after the initial booking confirmation. reportkix reserves the right to adjust prices for future course dates, but confirmed bookings will be honoured at the price agreed at the time of purchase.

Accepted Payment Methods, Payment Authorisation, and Payment Security

We accept payments via major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and approved digital wallets. All transactions are processed through secure third-party payment gateways that comply with UK financial regulations. Payment authorisation occurs immediately upon submission of booking details. Card details are never stored on our systems; they are handled directly by the payment processor in accordance with PCI DSS standards. In the event of a payment failure, the booking will not be confirmed until successful authorisation is obtained.

Order, Booking, or Service Confirmation and When a Contract Is Formed

A binding contract is formed once you receive a written confirmation email from reportkix following submission of your booking and successful payment. This email outlines the course details, schedule, and terms. Until this confirmation is issued, no contract exists and any provisional reservations may be cancelled without liability. Course places are allocated on a first-paid, first-served basis.

Cancellation Rights and Applicable Cancellation Periods

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of booking confirmation during which you may cancel without reason. For digital course materials delivered immediately, this right may be lost once access is granted. Cancellations after this period are subject to the refund eligibility rules below. You must notify us in writing within the cooling-off window to exercise this right.

Refund Eligibility, Exclusions, and Non-Refundable Items or Services

Refunds are available for cancellations made more than 30 days before the course start date, minus a reasonable administration fee. No refunds are provided for cancellations within 14 days of the course commencement, missed sessions, or failure to attend. Digital downloads, pre-access materials, and promotional bundles are non-refundable once delivered. Courses already commenced are ineligible for refund except in cases of documented service failure by reportkix.

The Step-by-Step Procedure and Information Required to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email [email protected] with your full name, booking reference number, course title, and reason for cancellation. Include any supporting evidence if claiming under exceptional circumstances. Requests must be submitted from the email address used at booking. Incomplete submissions will delay processing until all required details are received.

Inspection, Approval, Rejection, and Notification of the Refund Decision

Upon receipt of a complete request, reportkix will review the application within 10 working days. You will receive written notification via email stating whether the refund is approved, partially approved, or rejected, along with the rationale. If rejected, you may appeal once with additional information within 7 days of the decision notice.

Refund Method, Processing Time, and When Funds Should Reach the Customer

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing typically takes 5 to 10 working days after approval, though bank processing times may extend this to 14 days. You will be notified once the refund has been initiated. No interest or compensation is payable for processing delays.

Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions, Services, or Promotional Offers Where Relevant

Digital course recordings and materials are treated as digital content under UK law. Once access credentials are provided, refunds are not available unless the content is faulty. Subscription-style access to ongoing course updates follows the same cancellation rules as single bookings. Promotional discounts are non-transferable and refunds are calculated on the net amount paid after any discount.

Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks, and Suspected Fraud

In cases of failed payments, you will be contacted to arrange alternative payment within 48 hours or the booking may be released. Duplicate charges will be refunded automatically upon detection. Chargebacks are investigated and may result in course access being suspended pending resolution. Suspected fraudulent activity will be reported to the relevant authorities and may lead to permanent refusal of service.

Mandatory Consumer Rights in the Target Country That the Policy Cannot Exclude

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or UK GDPR. You retain the right to claim for services not provided with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in this policy excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
